WTS Halloween BOOgie 2014
Each year, many skydivers and non-skydivers from across the nation and international attend the West Tennessee Skydiving Halloween BOOgie event. The Midsouth's premier three-day skydiving boogie. Home of the famous Mullins King Air, designed to serve the needs of all skydivers, located on our own private airfield, away from the city where air traffic is virtually nil and nighttime festivities are without disturbance to neighbors. West Tennessee Skydiving is located at Wings Field, 40 miles east of Memphis, TN at 985 Laverne Davis Road Whiteville, Tennessee. Surrounded by the cities of Somerville, Bolivar, and LaGrange-Grand Junction. There are multiple small towns on the way to the dropzone where the speed limits are strictly encforced without mercy, so for the love of SKYGOD BE CAREFUL!
Click here for detailed directions to the dropzone. Mike's Super King Air is a B90 King Air that has been modified for jumping with an in-flight door, step, and handles. The original 550 hp PT6 turbine engines have been replaced with 750 hp PT6 turbine engines, high performance cowlings, with a capacity to take 14 jumpers to 14,000' in 7 minutes under standard conditions. This is an all age event although anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. There is also a strict policy on alcohol at WTS – if you look under 25 and are drinking, you may be asked to provide identification or face being banned from the DZ.
WTS Facilities
- Modern air conditioned/heated bathroom facilities with showers in two separate cubicles.
- Free use of washer and dryer
Camping / Campervans / Caravans / Bunking
Camping in tents, campervans and caravans are welcome and a separate area has been set aside for them. Electrical hookups are available but may be limited. You can also bunk inside the packing area, just be sure to bring your own sleeping bag, pillows, bedding, etc.
Jump Prices
- Tandem Jumps are $225 - Call 901-SKY-DIVE (759-3483) to schedule a jump or click here for additional info.
- Jumps for USPA licensed or AFF graduate skydivers are $26.00 to 14,500'.
- Early bird loads manifested before 8:00 A.M. are just $13.00.
- Gear rental is $25.
Helicopter Jumps
Helicopter jumps are $50. Sign up sheet will be located at manifest.
Sign up early as jumps will be as time permits!
FREE Coach Jumps for students
Coaches will be available to help you complete your USPA "A" License Requirements. Just pay for your slot and West Tennessee Skydiving will provide you a Coach for no additional cost!
